Detroit Future City (DFC) and Local Initiatives Support Corporation are seeking an AmeriCorps member to serve as a Community Engagement Specialist for the Summer 2020 season.
The Community Engagement Specialist will support the Land Use and Sustainability programming efforts at DFC, including the Working with Lots Program and Land + Water Works Coalition and other vacant land transformation and green stormwater infrastructure initiatives that reduce neighborhood blight, increase environmental sustainability, and create beautiful community spaces.
The candidate will ideally begin service June 16, 2020, and serve a minimum of 300 hours through the end of his/her/their term by September 30, 2020, or sooner. The exact start and end date are confirmed by the Member Agreement of Participation.
