Jeremiah Steen is placed with Detroit Future City, where he will coordinate and help design cradle-to-career and workforce development strategies by convening partners, elevating youth voice, engaging employers, and translating research into actionable pilots and governance structures that strengthen equitable education-to-employment pathways. His work focuses on aligning K–12, postsecondary, workforce, and community systems to support scalable, sustainable talent pipelines in priority sectors across Detroit. Jeremiah is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy with a bachelor’s degree in communications and has received a Corporate Governance Credential from the Wharton School. He previously served as the youngest trustee in the history of the Skillman Foundation and is currently the youngest board member of the Michigan Nonprofit Association.
