Join Detroit Future City on August 7th for our latest Innovation Series webinar!

The Latino/Hispanic community has been an integral part of Detroit for more than a century. Despite its longstanding contributions to the city’s cultural and economic fabric, the Latino/Hispanic community confronts significant disparities in accessing resources, opportunities, and services that hinder their full participation and advancement in the Detroit economy. To move Detroit toward a city where all residents can fully participate in the region’s economy and meet their unique needs, there are striking equity gaps that must be addressed. This webinar will highlight DFC’s recently released brief: Prosperidad Económica: Education and Workforce Outcomes for Detroit’s Latino/Hispanic Community. Attendees will hear from DFCs research team and community leaders, who will share findings from the brief and what this means for this important portion of Detroit’s community and the region’s overall economic prosperity. We will be joined by panelists from education, workforce development, and Latino & Hispanic advocacy organizations for a special conversation focused on what solutions are needed to address the challenges identified in the brief.
