In this Planet Detroit article, a geospatial study of Detroit reveals stark disparities in access to green space: 87% of buildings lie more than a quarter‑mile away from a park, and over half are more than a 10‑minute walk distant. Residents in neighborhoods with greater social or environmental vulnerability have the least access to green areas.
