Program Manager
Cierra McFarlin is a Program Manager on the Economic Inclusion team of Detroit Future City (DFC). In this role, Cierra will lead DFC’s participation in equitable workforce initiatives such as the Global Epicenter of Mobility (GEM. Cierra has nearly two decades of dedicated service in the realm of workforce and community development and is a seasoned professional committed to fostering positive change.
Before joining DFC, Cierra honed her education, workforce development and energy efficiency skills with organizations such as SER Metro Detroit, Center for Employment Opportunities, and Solutions for Energy Efficiency Logistics. In 2018, she founded Strategic Business Development Solutions and has helped to increase success in students and families through the Parent Academy program of the Detroit Public School Community District.
Cierra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Experimental and Industrial/ Organizational Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Master of Science in Administration with a concentration in Project Management.
A native Detroiter, passionate about her community, Cierra’s interests include real estate development, enjoying new restaurants and gaming with her 9-year-old son.
