In this article, Will Jones of WDIV’s Local 4 discusses how Detroit’s Wealth Generation Taskforce, focused on building wealth among residents, and led by Councilman Scott Benson, has released a report that focuses on education, entrepreneurship, employment, banking, property ownership, and healthy neighborhoods.
Nicole Brown, Detroit Future City’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, was quoted in the article. She shared: “We have 19 square miles of vacancy, reduced from 24, but it provides us with an opportunity to create healthy neighborhoods for Detroiters.”
