Detroit Future City’s (DFC) tool, “Detroit Mortgage Catalog,” provides a roundup of mortgage products and down payment assistance programs with a focus on favorable options for low- and moderate-income buyers in Detroit. The catalog also defines common terms in the homebuying process, provides other educational resources around homebuying, and makes the connection between borrowers and loan products for the achievement of homeownership goals.
This catalog builds on our “Buying In: Opportunities For Increasing Homeownership In Detroit” report, which identifies and describes mortgage-related barriers that Detroiters commonly encounter in the process of homebuying.
