In this forum, Crain’s Detroit Business speaks to the city of Detroit has a long history of Black homeownership and of diverse communities that are led by Black leaders, and organizations, companies and nonprofits are working to expand that homeownership and to grow the middle-class base in the city. The forum focuses on Detroit Future city working with focus groups to discuss ways of building and expanding the Black middle class.
