HUD Choice Neighborhoods Application Technical Assistance
The Detroit Future City Implementation Office (DFC) is providing technical assistance to the City of Detroit to develop a competitive application for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Choice Neighborhoods that is in line with the Detroit Future City Framework (Framework) and other resilience planning, including the transformation of vacant and underutilized land into innovative open spaces. The Choice Neighborhoods Program supports locally driven strategies to address struggling neighborhoods with distressed public or HUD-assisted housing through a comprehensive approach to neighborhood transformation. The program is designed to catalyze critical improvements in neighborhood assets, including vacant property, housing, services and schools through Implementation Grant funding of up to $30 million.
