Green Task Force Sustainability and Resiliency Recommendations
The Detroit Future City Implementation Office (DFC), as part of the Detroit City Council Green Task Force, is co-chairing the Master Plan of Policies Sustainability and Resiliency sub-committee. The sub-committee makes recommendations to the City of Detroit for key sustainability and resiliency concepts to be incorporated into the City’s Master Plan of Policies. The sub-committee drafted guiding principles and key concepts, which were presented to the Green Task Force on April 23rd. After incorporating feedback from the Task Force, the sub-committee presented the draft to the Planning Department for consideration. Future work may include creating a sustainability checklist to be used for specific development review.
