The Michigan Chapters of the American Planning Association and the American Society of Landscape Architects have recognized Detroit Future City (DFC) Strategic Framework with important awards.

The awards are as follows:

  • The Honor Award for Landscape Planning & Analysis was given by the Michigan Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. This honor is awarded for leading edge Landscape Architectural practices.

“These two awards are not just a recognition for Detroit Future City, but a testament to the thousands of Detroiters who played a critical role in developing the Strategic Framework for our city’s future,” said Dan Kinkead, the Director of the Detroit Future City Implementation Office. “

“While these awards are an honor we all should celebrate, we recognize our true success will be measured through the implementation of the Strategic Framework. With critical policy, engagement, and pilot project initiatives already underway, we are making significant progress.”
